Delivery Questions

How far do you deliver?

We offer free delivery within 50 miles of any of our authorized dealer locations. For larger projects or custom builds departing from our main manufacturing hub, we can deliver up to 150 miles, depending on payment type or closest dealer. Contact us for more information.

How do you get the building from your shop to my location?

We handle the entire logistics process in-house. Your building is transported via a specialized shed trailer and then expertly positioned using a Mule—a high-maneuverability shed forklift that allows us to place your building in tight spaces with minimal impact on your yard.

Will it cause damage to my yard when you deliver my building?

We strive for a safeguard delivery by using specialized, low-impact equipment designed to protect your property. This often includes the use of a "Mule" (a small, turf-friendly shed forklift) and hydraulic trailers that allow us to place your building with precision without driving heavy trucks across your lawn. While we take every precaution to minimize footprints, please be aware that ground conditions—such as very soft soil or recent heavy rain—can increase the risk of temporary marks. We recommend ensuring the path to your site is clear and firm for the best possible results.

How Wide An Opening Do I Need to Get My Shed Into My Backyard?

To ensure a safe and damage-free delivery, we recommend a minimum of 2 feet of clearance beyond the width of your building. For example, a 12’ wide shed requires a 14’ wide clear path (including gates, roof eaves, and tree clearance).

Site Preparation Questions

What kind of foundation do I need for my shed?

The best foundation depends on the shed's size and use.
Gravel Pads: Good for drainage and affordability.
Concrete Slabs: Best for heavy-duty use, workshops, or gyms.
Concrete Blocks/Piers: A cost-effective way to level the shed on uneven ground.
Skid Foundation: Pressure-treated runners that elevate the shed off the ground (often included).
You can learn more about foundations in our article.

How should I prepare my yard for delivery?

You should ensure the area is flat and level to avoid structural issues (like doors not closing properly). Remove debris, rocks, or vegetation. Placing the shed on a gravel or concrete foundation is highly recommended for stability and moisture protection. For more information, check out our article.

Does the shed need to be anchored?

Yes, anchoring is important to prevent shifting during high winds or storms. Options include ground anchors (augers) for soil/grass or concrete anchors if placing the shed on a slab.

Build & Construction Questions

Do you use screws or nails in the construction of your buildings?

We use a combination of both to ensure maximum structural integrity. We utilize high-strength structural screws on critical joints like trusses and skids for superior hold, while using industrial-grade nails for framing and siding where flexibility and shear strength are required.

What color options are available?

We offer a wide palette of premium Haley Paint colors at no additional cost. If you have a specific vision in mind, we also offer custom color matching for an additional fee to ensure your shed perfectly complements your home.

Can You Build My Shed On-Site?

Yes! If your site is inaccessible for a pre-built delivery, we offer on-site construction. This service requires a site assessment via photos and carries an additional up-charge to cover labor and logistics. Contact us for more information on this service.

Payment Questions

Do you offer financing or Rent-to-Own (RTO) payment plans?

Yes! We offer budget-friendly financing options to help you access your new building as soon as possible. You can take advantage of installment loans with competitive rates or choose deferred payment plans that allow you to start using your shed immediately while making manageable payments over time. Contact us for more information.

Customization Questions

Can I use a Smart Shed for a home business or office?

Yes. Many customers use them as distraction-free home offices or for businesses like e-commerce, art studios, and tutoring. You can customize them with insulation and lighting to create a year-round workspace.

Are these sheds suitable for use as a home gym?

Absolutely. You can reinforce the flooring for heavy weights, add extra wall studs for mounting equipment, and increase ceiling bracing for hanging gear like TRX bands or pull-up bars. You can find more information in our article here.
